Floral Boot Camp: Learn the Business of Flowers From Me

After 35 years in the floral and event industry, I’ve learned a huge difference between knowing how to arrange (or play with) flowers and knowing how to be a professional florist.

That’s exactly why I am thinking of creating a Floral Boot Camp.

I want to take what I’ve learned through years of designing weddings, producing large-scale events, managing a floral business, solving last-minute disasters, working with clients, and creating installations—and teach it to you in a real, hands-on environment.

This isn’t a traditional flower-arranging class. I’ll teach you how we actually do it in the event floral world.

We’ll talk about processing flowers, mechanics, recipes, quantities, color, scale, sourcing, pricing, labor, production, installations, and the little tricks you usually only learn after years of experience.

And we’re going to design!!

I want you to get your hands on the flowers, experiment with different techniques, understand why something works—and learn what to do when it doesn’t.

I’ll also share the business side of florals because creating something beautiful is only half the equation. You need to understand what it costs, how to price it, how much labor it takes, and ultimately how to make money doing it.

I created Floral Boot Camp for aspiring florists, event professionals, creative entrepreneurs, and anyone who has ever thought, “I would love to learn how to do this.”

You don’t need years of experience. You just need to be ready to learn, work, create, and get a little messy.

I’ve spent 15 years learning this business.

Now I’m ready to teach you.  If you're interested, email me!  I am taking names (heh, it IS boot camp) and planning a future launch date.

There is so much that goes into creating a bridal bouquet. The ideation, the ingredients, the time, the meaning behind every bloom. This is a bouquet that people will look back at in photographs for decades.

The pressure is there.
