Kim Starr Wise Floral Events was recently featured in Southern Weddings for Amy and Mike’s Black Tie New Orleans Wedding that took place in early summer of 2016.
This elegant affair took place at Il Mercato – a recently renovated Spanish style venue with one of the most beautiful courtyards in the city. We worked alongside Sapphire Events and many other local vendors to transform the space for Amy, Mike and their 200 out-of-town guests.
The floral design for this wedding incorporated a light, neutral color palette consisting of sahara spray roses, ilse spray roses, vendela roses and wild smilax and leafing muscadine vines that perfectly complemented the simple, yet romantic setting of this courtyard.
The bride and groom exchanged their vows underneath this acrylic chuppah draped with roses and vines and surrounded by candles.
The bride’s asymmetric fresh floral bouquet consisted of ranunculus, astilbe, nigella, gardenias, peonies, ivy, white o’hara garden roses and fresh jasmine vines.
Tables and lounge areas throughout the reception were adorned with fresh floral centerpieces in gold mercury compotes using hydrangea, seeded eucalyptus, quicksand roses jasmine vines, and ranunculus accented by gold vases and votives.
